Update for NFL Football! Final Picks for Week 17.  

For the final week of the NFL 2015 season a couple teams may rest their key players so I have made some notes on the ATS Picks Page. The REDSKINS will definitely rest the starters, the Seahawks are likely also, the Patriots say they won't. Sunday will be an interesting day! For straight up picks, it looks like the Patriots, Panthers and Steelers should all get wins.  In the ATS Picks, the Bengals, Chiefs and Texans top the list to cover at home.

NFL Football! Final Picks for Week 17 are posted. 

The College Bowl Picks are updated through this morning and it looks like they will end up in positive units across the board. The Playoffs start tonight! In the Orange Bowl at 4:00 PM Est  Oklahoma (4) takes on Clemson (1) and later in the Cotton Bowl at 8:00 PM. Michigan State faces Alabama. In the first game the Sooners are favored over the Tigers by 4, and it looks to be a close game, with the Sooners picked to win it, and likely cover the spread.  The second game has the Crimson Tide favored by 10 over the Spartans, it should be closer than that, Alabama is the better team, MSU is the luckier team. Keeping it close, a Spartan lucky bounce could bring about an upset.

NFL final Sunday. What a season we have witnessed in 2015, and now it wraps up with all the NFL teams playing this Sunday, with some playoff spots still to be determined. And a lot of questions. Who will start, who will get some rest, and how hard will the teams with clenched spots actually try for the final win? More on this with the Final Week 17 Picks.

The NFL Week 17 Outlaw Line Straight Up predictions, the Panthers over the Bucs, the Patriots over the Dolphins, and the Broncos over the Chargers all are highly likely for wins Sunday.  In the NFL ATS Predictions this week, the Bengals should cover the Ravens, the Chiefs are probable to cover the Raiders, and the REDSKINS should get the outright win over the Cowboys.

The final week of the NFL regular season, and the final scramble for playoff spots, division championships, rest on a bye week, and home field advantage. Lots of action and lots of chances for surprises. Week 17 is tough to call, because even though it is against league policy, there will be teams who will rest their starters, even take it a bit easy, after all, playing for first draft choice is also a kind of a win. Look for teams that are motivated. Here is a good summary from NFL.com.  NFL Playoff Picture


The NFL Week 17 Outlaw Line,  the Steelers are at home, favored and playing for the division title. Big Ben will give it his all to get the win and is likely to cover the Bengals, the Patriots are also home favorites and have the division title, bye week and home field wrapped up. Brady likes to win, and a little fine tuning of the offense may be needed. I expect the Patriots to get the win and cover against the Bills, who are playing for pride, and a draft spot.  The Dolphins want this win against the road dog Jets and they should get a strong win and cover.  Upset? Maybe the Panthers, if Cam catches fire.

For the final regular season week in the NFL, determining which teams will decide to play but rest, play hard for a win, play for pride or just give up and lay down, is tough. The Chiefs have said they will rest up, so will a few others. Some teams will most likely just give up, and those in disarray will coast through the games. 

In the Week 17 NFL ATS Picks the Seahawks want the win over the Rams and should dominate at home, the Patriots are highly motivated hosting the Bills, and the Eagles strongly want the win visiting the Cowboys. Things can change, so check back for updates.

NFL Week 17 already! The 2013 regular season has flown by, it seems, and now we are setting the stage for the NFL Playoffs, on the path to the SUPERBOWL!  The final NFL week is always a challenge, with teams resting, teams desperate to make the playoffs, and even some teams trying to get a better draft position. None of which, of course, is supposed to be happening. Last week I thought Seattle would rest in the second half, I never once thought they would sleep through the entire game.

This week the NFL Outlaw Line is statistically determined, and for the final picks, I'll try to make some "team motivation" adjustments. So far the Patriots look good hosting the Bills, the Eagles will keep it close, and may even win one in Dallas, and Chiefs are getting  good value at +10 verses the Chargers.

Over so soon? The 2011 NFL Final Regular Season Week is here and it sure has flown by. Some surprise teams contending in the NFL Playoffs with some still to be determined. The NFL ATS and SU Picks reflect the fact that some teams will be resting their starters, and I have indicated which ones I think may do that.

And there is just no credible line right now for the Cowboys Eagles game, and I suspect the Jags, who need to win, will fall flat. With the OFF games there will be an update this weekend. A tough week for picks, since some teams will violate NFL policy and rest some starters, and with the Tuesday night game, the odds are slow to get out, 4 games are still off. There looks to be value in the Chargers again ATS, and the Falcons look like a late Holiday Present from the oddsmakers.
