NFL Divisional Playoffs! Now it's really time to fish or cut bait. Last week the DoverPro NFL Picks went 3-0-1 ATS and 4-0 SU in a tough week to handicap, and this week is even tougher. The spreads seem high, and may change, and there are some key player injury questions for almost every game.

The NFL Straight Up picks are with the well rested and well prepared home teams this weekend. Home field advantage and not having to travel can be worth a few points. As for the ATS Picks, there is an NFL betting slant that says that a road team in the Divisional Round getting points has value. This idea devalues the home field and values a road win in the Wild Card round, and assumes the odds makers overcompensate.  I am going with some of these road dogs for the moment, but I will definitely update these picks as the injury picture clears up. 

The final NCAA college picks results are posted, and the ATS record was pretty poor this year. Although 6 of those ATS games missed by 2 or less points, they lost. On the other hand the Totals picks went great, and the SU picks were excellent. You can see the results at the link below. Next year some adjustments will be made to the system to address this fact. At least I called the CFP game correctly.

Here's hoping you have a great holiday! Lots of football this weekend with playoff spots in the mix, teams on the bubble for the wild cards will pull out all the stops, and we may even see a couple teams rest key players. More on this Thursday with the final picks.

The NFL Week 16 Outlaw Line Straight Up predictions show the Panthers highly likely to remain unbeaten, the Seahawks are home and are very probable for the win and Big Ben and the Steelers should get their 4th win in a row.  In the NFL ATS Predictions this week, Carolina tops the list to cover the home dog Falcons, road favorite Houston should cover Tennessee, and Kansas City should cover road dog Cleveland. Upsets? The Bears could get the win at Tampa Bay.

Again controversy over officiating this week, with some particularly bad calls made, and missed. One of the worst bad calls was a chop block called on the Lions. Game outcomes are being decided by these calls, and futures of players, coaches, and teams are on the line. If this is not soon resolved, there will be questions raised about the integrity of NFL football.

The NFL Week 15 Outlaw Line Straight Up winner predictions are strong home favorites, both Seattle and New England should easily get the win for the home crowds.  In the NFL ATS Predictions this week, the banged up Patriots give up a lot of points to the Titans, but still have value for the cover, the Packers should cover the home dog Raiders, and the road favorite Bengals should cover the 49ers.

A great meal and some great football! An exciting weekend in the NFL starts Thursday at 12:30 and lasts into the late night. After ten games, there are still two unbeaten teams remaining, both have a challenge this week. The playoff picture is starting to shape up, and this weekend will provide a better look at who is out and who is in. 

The NFL Week 12 Outlaw Line predicts some strong wins straight up, the Bengals are highly probable to defeat the road dog Rams, the Cardinals are probable for the win at the home dog 49ers, and the home favorite Packers look strong for the win against the Bears. For predictions against the spread, Cincinnati should cover St Louis and Green Bay should cover Chicago. Upsets? Look for the Chargers to win outright over the Jaguars, the Dolphins may pull it off against the Jets,  and the Vikings will pull out all the stops trying for a big win over the Falcons.

Week 10 was a wild week in the NFL. 11 Upsets (plus or minus one or two)! A bad call that cost a win (again). A serious wipeout week for the public.  The Sportsbooks are most likely still celebrating, and counting all that money! Sometimes it really makes me wonder. 

The NFL Week 11 Outlaw Line shows three strong home favorites with strong value for the win and cover. The Philadelphia Eagles should win and cover the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the New England Patriots should win and cover the Buffalo Bills, and the Carolina panthers should win and cover the Washington REDSKINS.  Upsets? Whew, NFL week 9 already. Nearly half the season is over and  we still have four unbeaten teams. I do expect one to drop  this week,after their first loss of the year the Packers should bounce back strongly against the Panthers. 

The NFL Week 9 Outlaw Line has some very strong favorites for straight up wins, the Patriots will dominate the REDSKINS and the Bengals will easily handle the Browns, even with Mr. Football stepping in.  Against the Spread, New England has good value over Washington, and Atlanta offers good value over a dazed and confused San Francisco. I also like the Jets over the Jags, but there is something off about this game. A closer look is needed.

Another tough week in the NFL, lots of close games both straight up and ATS. On Sunday night one unbeaten team will fall in the game between Green Bay and Denver.

In the NCAAF Week 8 Straight Up Top Hot Picks,  heavily favored home teams Baylor over Iowa State,  Western Michigan over Miami Oh and Marshall over North Texas top the list as most likely to win.  In the NCAAF ATS picks, it's the opposite, the top picks ATS are all road dogs.  Kansas State should cover at Texas,  Duke should cover at Virginia Tech, and South Alabama should cover at Texas State.
