Wow, some surprise upsets in the opening week of the 2014 NFL Season, I don't know anyone who saw that Bears loss coming. Nonetheless, we saw some great football, with more to come!

Playoffs! NFL Wild Card Weekend is here! And some surprises in the teams that made it, including a very controversial call that sent the wrong team home.  At some point, the NFL has to find a way to control this, there are simply too many games decided by the officials.

For years the wild card weekend was simple to handicap, just pick all the home teams and you were pretty much guaranteed to go 3-1. Now with some very weak divisions, you have some weaker home teams. The Packers even at home may get blown out by the 49ers, and the Eagles look to struggle against the Saints, this one could be an upset.

NFL Week 13 Outlaw Line Pointspread Predictions

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving Holiday Dinner and were able to watch some great football games.

Heading into the final stretch for the race to the Superbowl, the quality teams generally will prevail and tend to beat the spread, but some teams trying to make the cut will pull out all the stops to get the win, and sometimes this risky play will pay off. Watch for some upsets and lopsided scores and some great football in the final weeks.

This week the NFL ATS top picks look to have some strong value, the Lions at home verses the Colts should be a win and cover, as should the Patriots, the Texans and the Panthers all on the road.

I have avoided saying anything thus far about the incredibly bad officiating at the NFL games in the first three weeks, but now it has become so blatant that it cannot be ignored. At least a dozen games have had the outcome and the score affected by bad or missed calls, and the worst example was the end of the Monday Night Game. NFL Week 11 is here already, along with some cold weather, and some teams won't like that. The Packers at home will, for the win and cover. For the NFL ATS Picks, I am back on the Lions bandwagon, with four other firm favorite home teams.

In the NCAA, some great rivalries this week, LSU and Oklahoma St. look to stay unbeaten and TCU should win, Michigan may have a tough time at home, in NCAA ATS Picks Navy is strong for the win and cover, Utah went from -6 to -3, I see them 7 point favorites.
