The spread keeps creeping down, now Panthers -5 almost everywhere, and the totals are mostly 44. I updated again, right now to me it looks like the Panthers with a strong cover.

Hi Superbowl Fans! 

Superbowl!  Good defense wins football games, and the Broncos, with the number 1 defense, prove that.  The Panthers clearly have the better offense, Cam Newton is in great shape, ready to go. Manning is past his prime, but may have one great game still in him, if his offensive line can keep him safe. Most handicappers are focused on how this game hinges on the ability of the Carolina Offense to overcome the Denver Defense. The Panther defense should get some respect too, they may be able to get past a weak line and get to Manning. If so, the score could become lopsided, fast.

Cam will be the difference, his mobility and running ability will give the Panthers the edge. The spread is 5.5 to 6 points.

Hi Superbowl Fans!

This is the final NFL Outlaw LIne for the 2015-2016 Season.  Last week I overestimated the Patriots, or whoever that team was that showed up.  But regardless, Denver won, and they move on to the SUPERBOWL!  Matched up against the Panthers in San Francisco, the oddsmakers don't give the Broncos much respect, making them 6 point underdogs as of today. The Panthers were favored by four earlier, but the action was too light on the Broncos so they added a few points for the underdog. This tells us something. The Oddsmakers think the game will be closer than the public does.  And maybe fading the public is the way to go, since the "smart money" moved the line. 

Two story lines here. The Panthers and the up and coming 5th year player Cam Newton as a storybook team.  The Broncos and the experienced wily veteran Peyton Manning likely to retire after this game. I wonder which storyline the NFL Brass want?

NFL Conference Championship Playoffs are Tomorrow! The weather still looks good for both games, and the fields are in good shape on the path to the Superbowl.  

The NFL Picks stay the same plus a teaser is added. Both the Patriots and the Panthers should win and both are probable to cover the spreads. The public thinks so too, most SU and ATS betting is on the favorites. Of course anything can and often does happen in professional football, especially in playoff games. The prior playoff rounds have been pretty predictable, the public bets have paid off big time along with a lot of prop bets and teaser bets that have hit. Will this trend continue? Rumors are that Vegas has taken teasers off the books this week, along with some props.

Final NFL Divisional Playoff Week 19 Football Picks for the week are posted. Divisional Playoffs are a different brand of football. In the past, home teams usually won. In fact since 1990 Divisional Playoff hosts win at a 73% clip. However, since 2006, the top seeds are 8-8 SU and 3-13 ATS in the divisional playoff games. Makes for some tough picking, and a great weekend of NFL Football! 

For this round, the home teams all get the nod for the SU win, The Patriots, Seahawks, Packers and Broncos all should make their fans happy. The ATS Picks are more of a challenge, since the oddsmakers have set some questionable spreads. Right now, the road dog Ravens look strong for the cover, they should keep it close at New England, and the Seahawks giving 11 look strong for the cover over the Panthers. The Broncos also should cover the Colts on Sunday, while the Packers may struggle against the Cowboys. There will be some updates plus teasers posted on the weekend.

Quite a week of NFL Football, great games, backup QBS coming in for wins, and player controversies. The Vikings Adrian Peterson is now out all the way. Monday night bought us a thrilling comback for an Eagles win. The REDSKINS lost RGIII and still shellacked the Jaguars with Krik Cousins at QB. The Cardinals lost Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton led them to a strong win. And Roger  Goodell is on shakey ground, so he appoints a female panel to help out. What a week!

Wow, some surprise upsets in the opening week of the 2014 NFL Season, I don't know anyone who saw that Bears loss coming. Nonetheless, we saw some great football, with more to come!


For NFL Week 2  the 49ers at home against da Bears look strong, as do the Cardinals on the road verses the Giants, and even with Cam back, the Lions might just upset the Panthers. And I am predicting a Monday Night Football Surprise, get the details at the site!

Hi Football Fans!  Update!

 

This week in the NFL ATS Picks  has some very tough games to handicap. Home Favorites Saints should win and cover over the Bills, home favorite Chiefs for the win and cover over the Browns and road favorite Packers and Panthers should both prevail. I also like the road dog Giants, but not enough for a unit today.

The NCAAF ATS Picks we like Ball St as a road favorite, Tulane as a home dog, Nevada as a home favorite and Florida St at home.
