For the championship games the home teams both get the nod for the SU win, New England and Seattle should make their fans happy.  For the ATS Picks, the Patriots should be able to cover the 7 points over the Colts, but the Seahawks might find themselves in a dogfight, it looks to be a close game, and the Packers could just pull off the upset. There will be some updates plus a teaser posted on the weekend.

Whew, a great NFL Football Weekend. The Divisional Playoffs always seem to bring a major surprise and we sure got one this time around.  Denver losing was a shock, certainly to most of the public. There is a rumor about Peyton Manning nursing an unreported long term injury, causing some controversy. The other games went pretty much as predicted, but sure made for good football! The final teams for the SuperBowl are shaping up, but there is one last hitch. They have to win on Sunday to get there. 

The NFL Conference Championships 2015 Outlaw Line, the favored home teams look strong for the win again, with the Patriots likely for the win and cover over the Colts, and the Packers should be able to keep it close against the Seahawks. But you never know, and a favorable bounce could put Green Bay in the SuperBowl!

Final NFL Divisional Playoff Week 19 Football Picks for the week are posted. Divisional Playoffs are a different brand of football. In the past, home teams usually won. In fact since 1990 Divisional Playoff hosts win at a 73% clip. However, since 2006, the top seeds are 8-8 SU and 3-13 ATS in the divisional playoff games. Makes for some tough picking, and a great weekend of NFL Football! 

For this round, the home teams all get the nod for the SU win, The Patriots, Seahawks, Packers and Broncos all should make their fans happy. The ATS Picks are more of a challenge, since the oddsmakers have set some questionable spreads. Right now, the road dog Ravens look strong for the cover, they should keep it close at New England, and the Seahawks giving 11 look strong for the cover over the Panthers. The Broncos also should cover the Colts on Sunday, while the Packers may struggle against the Cowboys. There will be some updates plus teasers posted on the weekend.

In the NFL Week 3, straight up, the Patriots and Saints both at home should have an easy day and an easy win, as should the Colts on the road.  In the ATS NFL Picks the Colts should also cover the unhappy Jaguars at home, and the home team Panthers and Seahawks both look to cover small spreads. For an upset, again on Monday Night Football the Chicago Bears may just pull off the MNF upset over the Jets.

In the NCAAF Week 4 straight up predictions, Michigan State over Eastern Michigan and Georgia over Troy are both very strong, ATS Missouri should cover over Indiana also Arizona over California.

Quite a week of NFL Football, great games, backup QBS coming in for wins, and player controversies. The Vikings Adrian Peterson is now out all the way. Monday night bought us a thrilling comback for an Eagles win. The REDSKINS lost RGIII and still shellacked the Jaguars with Krik Cousins at QB. The Cardinals lost Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton led them to a strong win. And Roger  Goodell is on shakey ground, so he appoints a female panel to help out. What a week!

The NFL Week 9 Outlaw Line has a couple of standouts, the Colts as road favorites over the Texans, and the home favorite Panthers over the Falcons. It needs a closer look, but the home dog Raiders look good for the win and cover over the Eagles, and the Packers should roll over the Cutler-less Bears.

Another pretty good week for the NFL Picks, the system usually takes a few weeks to develop, consider that when you are evaluating the results against your own picks. 

This week in the NFL ATS Picks  the Colts look very strong against the home dog Jaguars and should cover easiily, home favorites Denver and Kansas City offer good value for the win and cover.  For an upset, the road dog Patriots seem likely for the win over the Falcons.

The NCAAF ATS Picks offer value with home dog New Mexico who may win outright over UNLV, and home favorite Oregon St to cover easily, and Army looks strong.

NFL Week 3 again was pretty good for the picks, and that Seahawk 19 point line turned out to be ok after all. Keep in mind these picks are mainly statistically generated and usually take a few weeks for the system to develop.

 

This week the top picks look to have good value. The Broncos are at home giving 10 against the Eagles, the Colts on the road giving 8 to the Jaguars, both teams should win and cover their spreads. The Patriots are plus 2 point road dogs at Atlanta, I project them to win outright.

NFL Wild Card Weekend, some great football to watch Saturday and Sunday.

Some NFL betting trends for the NFL Wild Card Playoffs  to consider.

Home dogs are 13-4 ATS since 1978.

Wild Card Games tend to the under. The last 10 years there have seen 14 overs and 26 unders, with the recent games 14 of 20 games going under the final points total.

The break seems to be 45 points. Games total points for 45 or higher gave us 5 overs and 8 unders in the last ten years. 3 overs and 6 unders over the past 5 years.

Some Team Trends:

Cincinnati is 0-5 ATS in its last 5 games when playing Houston.

Minnesota is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games when playing on the road against Green Bay.
Baltimore is 0-5 ATS in its last 5 games when playing Indianapolis overall and 0-5 ATS in its last 5 games when playing at home against Indianapolis.
Seattle is 2-5-1 ATS in its last 8 games when playing Washington, and 2-4 ATS in its last 6 games when playing on the road against Washington. Washington is 6-2 straight up in its last 8 games when playing Seattle.

So do we buck the trends or not? Last year all the home teams won, The home favorites all covered big time, and the only home dog ( at -9 ) won SU by 6. Did the oddsmakers adjust this year?

Note, There will be an update for a teaser and I am undecided right now about Seattle at Washington, I think the Seahawks will dominate, but I can't bring myself to go against RGIII and the Redskins streak.
