NFL Week 3 again was pretty good for the picks, and that Seahawk 19 point line turned out to be ok after all. Keep in mind these picks are mainly statistically generated and usually take a few weeks for the system to develop.

 

This week the top picks look to have good value. The Broncos are at home giving 10 against the Eagles, the Colts on the road giving 8 to the Jaguars, both teams should win and cover their spreads. The Patriots are plus 2 point road dogs at Atlanta, I project them to win outright.

HI Football Fans!

Week 2 was pretty good for the picks after a disaster for the opening week selections. Keep in mind these picks are mainly statistically generated and it usually takes a few weeks for the system to develop.

 

This week a couple home favorites stand out, the Ravens at home are getting points, they look to have value for the win and the cover, the Broncos can cover the 14 points against the Raiders, Seattle is a home favorite with a 19 point spread over Jacksonville, the Seahawks look to have strong value, but 19 points is a lot. The final Week 3 NFL Picks will be posted and emailed on Thursday around Noon EST.

Whew! A great opening week where anything could happen and some of it did. Certainly we saw some clear favorites lose and a few upsets. I hope your teams did well.

I don't usually make NFL preseason picks,  but I have found that in the final preseason game, go with a clearly better coach and staff. Here are a few I like, for preseason.

 

Jacksonville -3 at Atlanta;  Falcons by 7+

Buffalo at Detroit -6; Lions by 1

Arizona -1 at Denver; Broncos by 7+

New York Giants at New England -1; Patriots by 7

Oakland at Seattle -7, Seahawks by 14+

 

Stay Away

Green Bay at Kansas City

Tennessee at Minnesota

The break seems to be 45 points. Games total points for 45 or higher gave us 5 overs and 8 unders in the last ten years. 3 overs and 6 unders over the past 5 years.

Some Team Trends:

Cincinnati is 0-5 ATS in its last 5 games when playing Houston.

Minnesota is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games when playing on the road against Green Bay.
Baltimore is 0-5 ATS in its last 5 games when playing Indianapolis overall and 0-5 ATS in its last 5 games when playing at home against Indianapolis.
Seattle is 2-5-1 ATS in its last 8 games when playing Washington, and 2-4 ATS in its last 6 games when playing on the road against Washington. Washington is 6-2 straight up in its last 8 games when playing Seattle.

So do we buck the trends or not? Last year all the home teams won, The home favorites all covered big time, and the only home dog ( at -9 ) won SU by 6. Did the oddsmakers adjust this year?

Note, There will be an update for a teaser and I am undecided right now about Seattle at Washington, I think the Seahawks will dominate, but I can't bring myself to go against RGIII and the Redskins streak.

NFL Picks Week 17

Hi Football Fans!

 

The NFL Playoffs are almost set!

 

Three games are still OFF, and I like a couple of them. The Falcons have clinched everything, but even if they lay down, they still should win and cover. The Chargers want a win, and the Raiders are no challenge, and the Steelers will fight for an even record. All we need is the LVSC line.

 

For NFL ATS Picks I like the Seahawks for the win and cover and the Redskins to win the division and make the playoffs over the Cowboys. And Brees should get the Saints to an even record.

 

With all the OFF games an update will be posted Saturday PM, and I also am working on a strong teaser.

NFL Week 16 Picks ATS SU Totals

HI Football fans!

Closer and closer to the NFL Playoffs, and this weekend will pretty much decide who gets in and who stays home.

 

Atlanta should have a cakewalk on the road in Detroit, the Lions seem to find new ways to lose every week. Falcons for the win and maybe the cover.

In NFL Games for ATS picks, I like the Dolphins and the Seahawks at home, and the Patriots on the road. Also, the Chargers to win outright against the Jets.
