Some weeks in the NFL just seem to fall into place, and the picks almost make themselves. NFL Week 7 is one of those weeks. The top predictions all seem to be pretty solid and offer some good opportunities. 

The NFL Week 7 Outlaw Line has the Patriots at the top of the list again this week, at home hosting the Jets they should be dominant.  Monday night, the home favorite Cardinals should easily handle the Ravens, and the Panthers should contain the road dog Eagles.

Week 5 already! Nearly a quarter of the regular season over, and a lot of surprises every week. Monday Night the Curse of Bobby Layne sure seemed to haunt the Lions again, costing them a game and giving the Seahawks a home win. 

The NFL Week 5 Outlaw Line has some close games, this is a tough week to handicap, but there may be some value plays.  The Denver Broncos on the road offer strong value against the underdog Raiders, the Packers also offer strong value hosting the road dog Rams, and the favored Ravens have good value against the visiting Browns.

NFL Week 3 already! Keep in mind the system we use takes a few weeks of solid statistics of regular season play to develop, four weeks is a good base to consider.

As usual big surprises in the first week of NFL regular season play, featuring a bad news opener for some road favorites. The Colts losing to the Bills, the Seahawks downed by the Saints, and the Eagles and Vikings both losing Monday night.

The system went 11-5 overall straight up, with the hot picks 3-1 for Plus 5 units.  Week 1 ATS picks were a sad 6-9-1 overall, but the good news is that the hot picks went 2-0-1 for plus 4 units.

In the NFL Week 2 Outlaw Line there are a few standouts. The top probability picks are all road favorites, the Ravens are probable for the win and cover at the Raiders, the Cardinals are likely for the win and cover over the Bears, as are the Dolphins likely to win and cover over the Jaguars.

Hi Football Fans! Update!

Welcome back to another year of great Football! Let's have some more fun this year! Free Football Picks are back again! Last year went well,  2014 -2015 Football Season Final Results

 

The NFL Cheat Sheet is back and includes the NFL Weekly Schedule, Strength of Schedule, and my Final Standings Predictions for the NFL 2015 regular Season.

Right now the exhibition season is still under way, and I just don't bother to pick those games. If you want some advice on how to do it, generally in preseason the best coaches tend to cover the spreads.  The NFL Outlaw Line for 2015 Week 1 will be posted September 4, and the final picks for Week 1 on Thursday 9/10/15 before noon. 

 

NCAA Picks start  next week, I added the NCAA 2015 Weekly Schedule this year, if you want to take a look at it. College Football Picks will be posted on 9/2/15 before noon. The season starts with an FCS game,  No. 1 North Dakota State (0-0) at No. 13 Montana (0-0), this could actually be fun to watch! ESPN carries it at 3:30. Superbowl, finally! Hard to believe the season is over on Sunday. The two best teams will fight it out on Sunday for the Lombardi Trophy in the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona while millions of fans watch. Superbowls often do not live up to the hype, like the Seahawks blowout of the Broncos last year, but this one has a chance of becoming one of the great ones.

The final week of the NFL regular season, and the final scramble for playoff spots, division championships, rest on a bye week, and home field advantage. Lots of action and lots of chances for surprises. Week 17 is tough to call, because even though it is against league policy, there will be teams who will rest their starters, even take it a bit easy, after all, playing for first draft choice is also a kind of a win. Look for teams that are motivated. Here is a good summary from NFL.com.  NFL Playoff Picture


The NFL Week 17 Outlaw Line,  the Steelers are at home, favored and playing for the division title. Big Ben will give it his all to get the win and is likely to cover the Bengals, the Patriots are also home favorites and have the division title, bye week and home field wrapped up. Brady likes to win, and a little fine tuning of the offense may be needed. I expect the Patriots to get the win and cover against the Bills, who are playing for pride, and a draft spot.  The Dolphins want this win against the road dog Jets and they should get a strong win and cover.  Upset? Maybe the Panthers, if Cam catches fire.

NCAAF College Bowl Season has started! The picks link is posted below, there are four pages, one listing all games in bowl date order, and one each for the ATS picks, the Straight Up picks and the Totals picks, all sorted and ranked by probability. Remember, this is Bowl Season! Very often we get surprises!

In the NFL straight up picks,  dominate teams are strongly favored, and on a path to the playoffs, the Patriots and the Packers both heavy road favorites are highly likely to get the win, and the Eagles and Bills should also win SU. For the NFL ATS picks, the home dog Cardinals Defense should keep the score very close against the Seahawks, the Patriots should cover the home dog Jets by two TDs at least, unless Tom Brady needs a nap, and I expect the road favorite Lions to blow out the Bears in the Windy City. Upsets? Colts could do it.
