Quite a week of NFL Football, great games, backup QBS coming in for wins, and player controversies. The Vikings Adrian Peterson is now out all the way. Monday night bought us a thrilling comback for an Eagles win. The REDSKINS lost RGIII and still shellacked the Jaguars with Krik Cousins at QB. The Cardinals lost Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton led them to a strong win. And Roger  Goodell is on shakey ground, so he appoints a female panel to help out. What a week!

Wow, some surprise upsets in the opening week of the 2014 NFL Season, I don't know anyone who saw that Bears loss coming. Nonetheless, we saw some great football, with more to come!


For NFL Week 2  the 49ers at home against da Bears look strong, as do the Cardinals on the road verses the Giants, and even with Cam back, the Lions might just upset the Panthers. And I am predicting a Monday Night Football Surprise, get the details at the site!

Hi, Football Fans! - Update

SuperBowl! It's here, the biggest weekend in sports.
This Super Bowl Point Spread Line has floated all over, from Seattle -2 to Denver -3. It looks to have settled in at Broncos -2 right now, in the range of -1 (Catalina) to -3 (Bovada). Keep an eye on it.

For Super Bowl Straight Up, the Broncos offer strong value, and in the ATS predictions, Denver has the edge with some value at -1.

And this intangible keeps coming to mind. Two NFL records could be set on Sunday.  One, Manning could become the first starting quarterback to win a Super Bowl with two different teams. Two, Manning was named MVP after leading Indianapolis past Chicago in Super Bowl XLI, so Manning could become the first starting quarterback ever to be named Super Bowl MVP with two different teams. And it looks like he will.

Super Bowl! Broncos. Seahawks. New Jersey. Weather, cold weather.

Last week the NFL Championship Round played out as the favorites won, the favorites covered the spread and the bookies celebrated. The two best teams in the game earned their spot in the Super Bowl.

The Broncos vs the Seahawks appears statistically to be a very evenly matched game. Looking back at common opponents, both teams beat the Giants, the Titans, the Jaguars, and the Texans, both teams lost to the Colts. A case can be made the Broncos did a slightly better job of it.  A tough game to handicap.

It was quite a weekend for the Divisional Round Playoffs, and again the officials decided a game winner.  Lots of rumbles about the Panthers loss to the 49ers and some of the calls, especially after some claims of large game day bets on SF. Kind of makes you wonder.

What a Wild Card Weekend! As usual the first round of the playoffs provided some surprises and some great football. In the Divisional Round, the matchups are a bit more lopsided, and the quality teams with playoff experience tend to do well.

For the NFL Divisional Round Playoffs, the Seahawks offer good value for the win and cover against the road dog Saints, the Brady Bunch Patriots in a very close one for a win over the road dog Colts, the Chargers will be starved for oxygen and points in the mile high city, Broncos offer good value for the win and cover, and the home dog Panthers should get the win over the 49ers. Best game of weekend? 49ers at Panthers.

Football! Playoffs! And cold weather, especially in Green Bay. 

The NFL Wild Card Playoffs look to have some great matchups this weekend, the Saints should keep it close visiting the Eagles, maybe pull out a last  minute victory. The highly favored Bengals at home may not dominate the Chargers as much as the oddsmakers predict, the Colts hosting the Chiefs is very close, and while the 49ers should dominate the home dog Packers, never count Rogers out, with frigid conditions hampering both teams.

And that final late Sunday game is a strong Fade the Public opportunity, as well as a classic Small Underdogs at Home chance. I am going light on it for now, check back over the weekend.
