A tough week for picks this week, but there looks to be some value in the NFL ATS Picks, the 49ers at home look good against the road dog Bills, and the Ravens on the road to KC may just be a blowout. And I still have some faith in the Seahawks.

The NCAA ATS Picks are pretty bland, the WMU Broncos host Massachusetts as a very strong favorite.

Welcome back, REAL NFL Officials! Thankfully that fiasco is over. I only have one question, will the Packers get a break this week? At any rate the DoverPro Football Picks System has had some adjustments and it looks like there are some strong picks this week.

In the NCAA ATS Picks, Stanford is a standout, and I like Boise St to cover even as a lower level pick. Straight up, Alabama just keep rolling, as does Oregon and Ohio.

The NFL ATS Picks look strong also, some unanimous consensus picks in there for the Patriots and the Seahawks, and maybe out on a ledge with the top pick of the Falcons to cover. The SU picks are pretty strong too.

I have avoided saying anything thus far about the incredibly bad officiating at the NFL games in the first three weeks, but now it has become so blatant that it cannot be ignored. At least a dozen games have had the outcome and the score affected by bad or missed calls, and the worst example was the end of the Monday Night Game. It is up to all of us to contact the NFL and protest this situation. Just go to NFL.Com and post your opinion. (You may have to join, its free).

 

This week the system has had some updates and the stat base should start showing better results. In addition for the final picks I have re-evaluated the consensus surveys and handicapper contributors and made some changes there too, as I usually do in the early weeks of the season.

This looks like a great weekend for football! In NCAA College Football, there are some tune-up games that look to be fun for the home teams, and these are very strong favorites straight up.

 

Some serious surprises last week in the NFL but the quality teams will prevail in the long run. This week the Bears look very strong at home and the Raiders are off to a terrible start, so the Steelers should have no resistance there. And the Patriots just may bounce back as road dogs verses the Ravens.

NFL Conference Championship Playoffs Picks 2012

Hi Football Fans! Updated

Wow! The Divsional Playoffs were some of the most exciting contests of the year, no disappointments in the action, although a lot of fans are wondering whether the real Packers missed the bus.

Now for the Superbowl Showdown, only two teams move on after this week and they play for all the marbles. These are a couple tough games to handicap, I expect all the teams will play tight, and a lot of the public cappers like the Giants for the win and cover. I'm going light across the board for now, I am just not sure I have a good handle on this game.

Will it be a Brother Jim Verses Brother John Superbowl? I don't see it that way. Brady is Red Hot, was it Tebow-Phobia or will he stay on the streak? In games like these, emotion and drive can overcome a lot of shortcomings, and I think we will see some more great football again in the Week 20 Playoffs.

Wild Card weekend did not disappoint us, and those home teams came through for their fans. (How does Tebow do it?).

At any rate the NFL race to the Superbowl is on, and the quality teams are now in the spotlight against the Wild Card Winners. Again, the home teams have the edge, rest and preparation, and the spreads show it. For Straight Up NFL Playoff Picks, the home teams should win, but watch for the Niners. (Sorry, Tim). Wow, the NFL Playoffs look to be pretty exciting this year, only a few more weeks to the Superbowl!

Traditionally Wild Card teams on the road do not fair well, for years all you had to do was pick the home teams and you were almost certainly a 3-1 winner. These days it is a bit different with some teams backing in, like the Denver Broncos, or creeping in, like the Detroit Lions. SU moneyline, I like the home teams Saturday and the road teams Sunday. For ATS Playoffs Picks, the system says only the Texans cover.
